FNQ Dive Keith Cardwell

Keith Cardwell has now been in the Dive Industry for more than 30 years, won countless awards including that of a PADI "Platinum" Course Director, trained more than 2000 Instructors, established several 5* Instructor Development Centres and lived and worked as a Course Director in Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Maldives, and the U.S.A.

Originally qualifying and working as a production and pneumatics engineer for ten years he also holds a Masters Degree in Education with a major in Lifelong Learning and post-graduate Diplomas in Business and Industrial Administration and Sport & Recreation.

Now situated in Cairns for the past fifteen years he works alongside both Down Under Dive and the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) Scuba College - still revisiting New Zealand twice a year to perform IDCs for Dive Centre on the North Shore of Auckland City.

Cairns, being the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and with courses at all levels starting almost daily, is the ideal training ground for any person who wishes to become a dive professional. Not only is it a stable and safe community offering a wide range of facilities, it is a place where virtually all of his instructor candidates during the 15 years he have been operating here have been able to successfully gain a paid position shortly after graduation.
