- Enable the candidate to effectively act as an instructor assistant to a teaching status PADI OPEN WATER INSTRUCTOR (or higher)
- Develop the theoretical knowledge of candidates to a level sufficient to become an Instructor
- The course consists of 3 modules of work.

- MODULE 3 - PRACTICAL APPLICATION
- Internship: Each candidate must participate in at least:
- One PADI Open Water Diver course confined water session.
- Four additional confined water training sessions from any PADI course or programme.
- One PADI Open Water Diver course open water training dive.
- One PADI Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver or PADI Specialty Diver course open water training session.
- Three additional open water training dives from any PADI course or programme.
- One supervisory situation with certified divers not in a formal course.
- Further to this, candidates have to produce an emergency assistance plan, a map of the local underwater terrain suitable for entry-level training, and perform a problem solving assignment.
- The internship programme at CDC requires attendance at 4 complete Open Water courses with on-board experience and assisting with Advanced Open Water and Specialty Courses. You will complete a minimum of 40 Open Water dives during this programme.
- $1,800 exclusive of PADI application fees
- PADI Advanced and Rescue Diver certification or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older.
- Diving medical gained within the last 12 months.
- Logged a minimum of 20 dives.

- Course sessions can be organised to be run whenever it is convenient for you to attend. Divemaster candidates can be tutored initially on a 1:1 basis then merged into small groups for final exercise
- Please note:
- Knowledge Development Topic 1 - Course Introduction: The Role and Characteristics of a PADI Divemaster must precede all other components of the PADI Divemaster course.
- Knowledge Development Topic 9 - Divemaster Conducted Programmes must precede Required Training Exercise 3 - Divemaster Conducted Programmes.
